Malatya Battalgazi City Museum

Built in 1893 as Redif Military Service Branch in Malatya, re-designed as a memory museum. History in 1947 and 1997 restoration works carried out without regard to value, removal of non-original layers added to inner walls from the structure form the main design approach. Make an extension of the city’s memory is a decisive design decision. Facade and interior walls simplifying appropriately, all of the originally removed habits and the sills will be dismantled and placed on the glass surfaces of the new ones decided to apply an additional layer to the original glass frame as a trace. While it is peeling from the period add-ons, come out on the inside walls, we decided to thinking that it is part of the memory to leave the empty wooden construction as empty as it is. The collection of the museum will be created by the joint work of designers.
